Occupational Therapy Services for Skill Development

We offer occupational therapy staff to public and private school systems.  Rehabilitation Therapy Associates LLC will interview, hire, train, and supervise occupational therapy staff for your individual school needs.  In addition, we can assist you in program development and budgeting for occupational therapy services, as well as perform program reviews.  Both occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants are available to provide services to your students requiring occupational therapy services.  We can provide professional staff to effectively cover therapy services in your buildings with flexible scheduling and building assignments so as to maximize staffing and coverage of services.

We work as an integral part of your educational team and school community.  We are part of your educational team and your staff.  We are licensed in the States of Massachusetts and New Hampshire and certified by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).  Our specialty and experience is pediatric occupational therapy for public school education.  Some of our consultants are certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT).  All consultants from Rehabilitation Therapy Associates LLC have knowledge of the Massachusetts Special Education Regulations, the Inclusionary Model, Response to Intervention (RtI), the IEP format, and 504 guidelines.  Inservice education and consultation to your staff are also available on a variety of topics, including sensory processing disorders, fine motor development and handwriting, visual-perceptual-motor skills and their relationship to reading, writing, and math skills, and inclusionary programs and flexible groupings.

Testimonial: "Karen Hefler provided individualized trainings to our staff at Pentucket tailored specifically to meet student needs.  She presented trainings to parents, paraprofessionals, and teachers with professionalism, expertise, and a sense of humor.  Her trainings resulted in a decrease in O.T. referrals and built capacity for team members to provide fine motor and sensory support to all students."
Kathleen Sullivan, Special Education Coordinator, Sweetsir and Donaghue Elementary Schools, Pentucket Regional School District

"Position in life is everything!"  When your students are sitting at their desks, be sure their feet are flat on the floor, their body is back in the seat, and they are facing front.  Ready to learn!
